Speech intelligibility is impacted by reduced jaw control, which limits the child’s ability to maintain stable articulatory postures during speech. Insufficient jaw stability interferes with fine motor movements of the lips and tongue, leading to imprecise articulation and decreased intelligibility across word and phrase levels.
